Who We Are

Sign Language Interpreting Services has been providing professional on-site interpreting for over 30 years. Our scheduling staff provides personalized and efficient customer service to meet your needs. We work with you to accommodate the best mode of communication which best fits the deaf consumer. Some prefer ASL (American Sign Language) while others benefit from Pidgin Signed English. We also offer remote services through a variety of virtual platforms including Zoom, Google Meet, and Microsoft Teams.

Also, there are those who require Oral Sign Support, Tactile for the deaf/blind, and individuals benefiting from a Visual-Gestural team of interpreters. Let us help with your Sign Language communication needs.

Careers

Staff Sign Language Interpreters

Full-time positions (35 hours per week) and Part-time positions
(16 and 25 hours per week) are available to provide sign language interpreting services throughout Connecticut, during a pre-determined schedule 5 days per week.
Qualifications include annual registration with DORS; certification for medical interpreting per State statute, legal certification a plus; and available, reliable transportation. Compensation package includes mileage reimbursement, health benefits and paid time off.

Per Diem Sign Language Interpreters

Per diem positions provide sign language interpreting services throughout Connecticut. Qualifications include annual registration with DORS; certification for medical interpreting per State statute, legal certification a plus; and available, reliable transportation.
